DOG BEHAVIOR TRAINING

Private training lessons are conducted with your family and pets in the comfort of your home by a Certified Dog Trainer.  These lessons can address issues such as improving manners and basic obedience, starting off correctly with a new puppy, or teaching an old dog new tricks.  Yes, an adult dog can learn new behaviors!

Puppy Socialization classes are held at locally at Elk Creek Animal Hospital.  These classes are designed to develop the relationship between puppy and family and to provide playtime for your puppy.

Training creates a bond between owners and pets and establishes a method of communication This can only be achieved when there is trust and respect. I believe that trust and respect are gained through training with positive reinforcement where there are no physical corrections or harsh words. Dogs will learn that their behavior affects outcomes.

PROGRAMS

Puppy Socialization Class
Puppy Socialization is a 5 week course designed to provide your puppy the opportunity to play with other puppies in a safe environment and to develop the bond between puppy and family.  Topics such as grooming, body language, proper puppy play and potty training will be discussed.  Basic obedience cues will also be taught.  There will be plenty of time to discuss questions brought to class.  Course is held at Elk Creek Animal Hospital.

5 week class $60.

Initial Consultation
Before any private service begins there will be a free initial consultation. We will meet you at your house at a scheduled time. This will allow you to meet us and for us to meet you and your pets; discuss your Pets' needs and our policies; obtain important contact information and design the plan to fit your needs.

No Charge

PUPPY

This 4 week in-your home program will start you and your puppy off on the right paw. This is ideal for the puppy that has not had all vaccinations and therefore not ready for puppy class.  Common issues such as potty training, nipping, chewing, proper play will be addressed. We will also introduce your puppy to positive training techniques while teaching sit, stay, come and walking on leash. This program will be customized for you and your puppy based upon his progress and current knowledge. If you have decided to take on the challenge of 2 puppies, we will adjust program for both at no additional cost.

4 week program - $180

Individual 1 hour lessons $50

Basic Obedience

During this 4 week in-your home program, you and your dog will learn basic behaviors such as loose leash walking, sit, stay, leave it, and down. Basic Obedience will strengthen your communication with your pet and allow you to shape your dogs behavior before he develops poor manners. Program will be customized for your pet.

4 week program $180

Individual 1 hour lessons $50

Does your adult dog exhibit some unwanted behaviors such as barking, jumping, chewing, or running out the door? We can design a plan to address these minor behavior issues.
